Peggy Jackson Tolbert age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away peacefully August 8th, 2025 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born in Carroll County, Virginia on March 23, 1933, to the late Ertel and Margie Easter Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernie Mavin Tolbert.

She is survived by her children JB Tolbert (Rhonda), Douglas Tolbert, Jane Smith and Lisa Tolbert all of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren and spouses Mack Tolbert (Brandi), Juliana Nichols (Shane), Elizabeth Williams (Collin), Tristan (Brooke) Smith; three great-grandchildren Joshua Tolbert, Riley and Paige Nichols.

There will be no visitation. A private graveside service for the family will be held on Sunday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to local charities of the donor's choice.

The family would like to thank the first-floor staff of Waddell Nursing and Rehab for all their love and compassionate care shown to Peggy during her time there.
