Peggy Jean Sprinkle

Peggy Jean Sprinkle, age 94, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, Wagram, North Carolina. She was born in Lee County, Virginia, but moved to Galax, VA as a child. She spent her adult life as a OR nurse in the local hospital. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church in Galax, VA. She lived in Galax until 2016, then moving to Wagram, N. C., where she lived with her niece Mary Carol Stone, assisting in the care of her sister Ruth Ramey.

Peggy never married and therefore is not survived by a spouse or children. However, she is preceded by her parents, William Sprinkle and Mary Elizabeth Riley Sprinkle, her brothers and sisters Olen Sprinkle, Ruth Ramey, Bill Sprinkle and Helen Richardson. She is survived and adored by her nieces and nephews Mary Carol Stone and husband Jeff, Butch Ramey, and wife Mary Ann, Vicki Eads, Brenda Anderson, David Richardson and wife Amy, Richard Richardson and wife Edwina, and James Richardson, along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Monta Vista Memorial Gardens in Galax, Virginia on March 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Vaughan- Guynn of Galax, Va. oversees arrangements.
