Peggy Lou Isom's Obituary
Peggy Lou Isom, widow of Foy Junior Isom, age 64, of Galax, VA died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA.
Mrs. Isom was born Sept. 11, 1945 in Pulaski County, VA to Jerry C. & Callie Allison Burton.
She is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Tammy Freeman and Brenda Martin of Galax, VA and Linda and Robert Burnette of Woodlawn, VA, two sons, Donald Timothy Isom and Ronald Lee Isom of Galax, brother and sisters, Robert Burton, Rocky Mount, VA and Betty O'Neil and Bonnie Dabney of Gretna, VA, Fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Wayne Medley.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the Galax First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Rock Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the Church. The officiating ministers will be Pastor Cas Horton and Pastor Tom Bowan.
