Peggy Ann Ayers age 75 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Ayers was born on August 5, 1937 in Alleghany County, North Carolina to Curtis and Geneva Marsh Horton.
She is survived by her husband Bayne Ayers of Galax, Virginia; daughters Vicki Ayers of Galax, Virginia; Donna Ayers of Rural Hall, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Curtis and Gina Ayers of Kingsport, Tennessee; grandchildren Kandace Watson; Gennifer Ayers; Bradley Ayers and Terah Goad; great-grandchild Abigail Watson; sisters and brothers-in-law Della and Earl Murphy; Emmalene and Kyle Kegley; Shirley and Otie Leath all of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Monta Vista Cemetery with Lawrence Warden officiating.
