Pearl Lillian Redd age 82 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, February 15,2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Redd was born on May 12, 1927 in Surry County, North Carolina to James Earl & Ida Choate Vernon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Monroe Redd.

She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Wanda Paige & Wade Robinson of Woodlawn, Va.; son Steven Monroe Redd of Galax, Va.; grandchildren & spouse Amber Robinson; Kristal & Brian Edwards; great-grandchildren Karie Rose Edwards & Zachary Edwards; brother Earlie Vernon of West Jefferson, N.C.; several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until seven at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Myron Dalton and Rev. James Billings officiating. Burial will be held Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:00 am in Monta Vista Cemetery.
