Pearl Holderfield Goodson age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Goodson was born on August 29, 1932 in Carroll County, Virginia to John Watson and Virtie Robinson Holderfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Glen Goodson.

She is survived by her son Glen Ray Goodson of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Arwood Edwards; Elder V. J. Hawks and Elder Sam Edwards officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour before the funeral service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
