Pearl Marie Chappell's Obituary
Pearl Marie Chappell age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Chappell was born in Surry County, North Carolina on October 22, 1931 to Oscar and Hazel South Ramey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Chappell and a daughter Peggy Lynn Chappell.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Brenda and Ray Isom; Michelle and Larry Diamond; special granddaughter and friend Dawn and Mike Hawks all of Galax, Virginia; sister Virginia Thompson; brothers and sister-in-law Donald Ramey; Gray and Linda Ramey all of Galax, Virginia; sisters-in-law Mae Ramey and Ola Ramey both of Galax, Virginia; brothers-in-law and spouses James and Barbara Chappell; Roosevelt and Helen Chappell all of Hillsville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; special caregivers David and Pam Flippen.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Camp Zion Church with Rev. Myron Dalton and Pastor Garry Adams officiating. Burial wil follow in the Camp Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
