Payton Wade Vaught age 41 of Cana, Virginia passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home.

Payton was born on May 11, 1976 in Galax, Virginia to Lester and Linda Lou Brown Vaught.

In addition to his parents of Galax, Virginia, Payton is survived by his children Brady Lynn Vaught and Payton Wade Vaught, Jr. both of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; several aunts and uncles; cousins Tammy Adams of Cana, Virginia; Junior Lowe; Jennifer McMillan of Low Gap, North Carolina; Angie Shaffer; Dee Dee Sikes and Delena Stamper all of Galax, Virginia; mother of the children Olivia Vaught of Mt. Airy, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Wilburn Woodruff officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
