Pauline Elizabeth Winesett Davis, age 96, of Galax, VA, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 8, 2015. Pauline was born on March 25, 1919, in Grayson County, VA to the late Louis Eli and Grace Elizabeth (Bessie) Liddle Winesett.
Pauline generously gave time, love, talents to family, neighbors & church community. Worked as an LPN, volunteered with the Bloodmobile, member of the Galax Art Guild for several years, 25 year Sunday School Teacher at Mount Vale, active in UMW, Quilting Bee, Lay Witness Program, known for gifting weekly fried pies and homemade bread to neighbors, including Postman, for many years. Served as foster parent, as needed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett James Davis, grandson, Michael Randolph Steele; sister, Mattie Winesett Adkins; brothers, Junior, Burton, Bill, Ralph and Rex Winesett.
Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law; Carol & James Steele, Fredericksburg, VA, Gerri Davis, Montclair, VA, Grace & Julio Canseco, Dawsonville, GA, Martha & Homer Bentley, Savannah, GA, Beth Davis & husband, John Cipollina, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Grandchildren; Kristin Steele & Chris Barber, Gilbert, AZ; Keith & Kelly Peterson Canseco, Thompson Creek, TN, Amanda Canseco and Brian Littlejohn, Ft. Worth, TX, Kim Bentley and Chris Walters, Orlando, FL.
Great-Grandchildren; Andrew Barber, Michael Barber, Kayleigh Barber, Avery Canseco, Kennedy Canseco, Leo Walters, Abigail Walters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM
at the Mount Vale United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Mt. Vale Cemetery. officiating ministers will be the Rev. Brandon Berg and the Rev. Jack Edwards. Visitation precedes the service at 10:00 AM.
