Paulene Edna Crowder Howell age 85 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Sunday March 27, 2022 in the Galax Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Howell was born on December 14, 1936 in Carroll County, Virginia to Gilbert Wilson and Lena Gertrude Frazier Crowder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Major Howell.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Terri and Kenneth Gooden of Woodlawn, Virginia; three grandchildren and spouse Zachary Funk; Levi Funk; Matthew and Nikki Funk; eight great-grandchildren Zayah Kyle; Leeann Funk; Lilly Funk; Jillian Funk; Lenix Funk; Leeland Funk; Liam Funk and Zaiden Funk; special friend Judy Sharp..

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Woodlawn Church of God with Pastor Sidney Turner and the Rev. John Canning officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Woodlawn Church of God.
