Paul Mcneal Rakes' Obituary
Paul McNeal Rakes, age 68, died at his home in Woodlawn, VA Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009.
Mr. Rakes was born in Fries, VA to Willie G, & Hazel Marie Bratton Rakes, Dec. 25, 1940.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Dixon Rakes of the home, sons & daughter-in-law, Eddie & Stephanie Rakes, Troutdale, VA and Gordon & Mary Rakes, Galax, daughters & son -in-law, Paula Rakes and Marlene & Glenn Edwards both of Woodlawn, VA, sisters & brother-in-law, Roberta Mabe, Wytheville, VA,
Frankee & Dick Carrico, Woodlawn, VA, grandchildren, Sally Ann Edwards, Reece Edwards, Cassie Rakes and Calvin Rakes. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral Service will be held at the Cliffview Church of God Monday at 7:00 PM. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church. The officiating ministers are Pastor Ron Hill, Pastor Wendell Horton and the Rev. D.G. Fox.
