Paul Dean Mabe's Obituary
Paul Dean Mabe age 93 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Mabe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on August 25, 1924 to Benjamin and Martha Lawson Mabe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Leta Faye Alley Mabe and his son-in-law Ronnie Lee Sutphin.
He proudly served his country in the US Navy.
He is survived by his daughter Brenda Mabe Sutphin of Christiansburg, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Rodger and Betty Jo Mabe of Roanoke, Virginia; grandson Michael Lee Harmon of Hillsville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the River Hill Christian Church with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the River Hill Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the River Hill Christian Church.
