Paul Edwin Kirby's Obituary
Paul Edwin "Pete" Kirby age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Waddell Nursing Home.
Mr. Kirby was born on July 30, 1926 in Grayson County, Va. to Andrew Paul & Imogene Hampton Kirby.
He is survived by a daughter Debbie Kirby Anderson of Denver, North Carolina; son Michael E. Kirby of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Frances & Ed Pasley of Galax, Va.; grandchildren Michael Kirby; Daniel Kirby; Mary Alicia Kirby; Jennifer Holderfield; five great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 23,2009 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Edward Pasley and Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 pm until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
