Paul Franklin "Bud" Burcham age 81 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 in the Golden Living-Blue Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mr. Burcham was born on January 3, 1935 in Grayson County, Virginia to James Daniel and Della Willey Burcham.
He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law Jama and Hassell Dollyhigh of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Angie Burcham of Hillsville, Virginia; Aleshia Henley of Iowa; son Jody Burcham of Galax, Virginia; sisters Ilene Mason of Fries, Virginia; Carolyn Elliott of Rural Hall, North Carolina; sisters-in-law Linda Burcham of Galax, Virginia; Ruby Burcham of Fries,Virginia; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; caregivers Suzi and Terry Lineberry of Galax, Virginia; very special pet Cuddles.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Garry Adams and Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in the Monta Vista Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Twin County Humane Society, P.O. Box 125 Hillsville, Virginia 24343.
