Paul "Huck" Akers age 83 of Fries, Va. passed away Sunday November 12, 2006 in Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born on December 25, 1922 in Fries, Va. to the late Buford and Lula Crowder Akers. He is survived by his wife Doris Fender Akers; daughters Glenda Akers Lyons & Linda Lou Akers all of Fries, Va.; one granddaughter and several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday November 15, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Haga and Rev. Tony Funk officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from seven until nine at Grace Baptist Church.
