Patsy Ann B. Shupe Swain age 71 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Patsy was born on March 30, 1943 in Grayson County, Virginia to Clarence Eugene and Jewel Williams Shupe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Peggy Shupe.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth (George) Swain of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Tony and Julia Billings of Fries, Virginia; sister Betty Quillen of Galax, Virginia; brothers Harris Shupe; Jerry Shupe and Ned Shupe all of Fries, Virginia; grandson and fiancee' Chris Billings and Kimberly Johnson; step-grandson and his wife Justin and Jennifer Alderman; step-great-grandchildren Isabelle Ray Allen; Hannah Nicole Allen Randt and Julian Michael Allen Randt; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in the First Assembly of God with Pastor Angie Lineberry and the Rev. Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at the First Assembly of God.
