Patsy DeAnna Hawks McFarland age 61 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at her home.
Patsy was born in Galax, Virginia on August 2, 1953 to the late Virgil Jackson and Vada Bell Carico Hawks. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Alice Diane Hawks.
She is survived by her husband Joe McFarland of Galax, Virginia; niece Faith Eichner of Galax, Virginia; cousin and spouse Kate and Wade Petty; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; special friends Katherine Huff and Marcie Liddle; numerous other friends.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
