Patricia A. Nelson (Bodie) age 78 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.
Patricia was born on March 16, 1936 to John and Ann Curtin Bodie in Toledo, Ohio. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years Augustine (Gus) Nelson.
She graduated from St. Ursula Academy and St. Vincent School of Nursing. She practiced her nursing in Ohio and Michigan.
She is survived by her sons Al (Cindi) Nelson of Indiannapolis, Indiana and Tony (Vicki) Nelson of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren Alec, Lindsey, Aisilinn and Samantha; brothers John (Meg) Bodie, Harry (Sandy) Bodie, Frank (Sue) Bodie; sisters Mary Bodie and Dorothy Swanbeck; many nieces and nephews.
Internment will be at a later date at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg, Ohio.
