Patricia Harris Bowers, 58, of Galax passed away Sunday, May 2 at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center at Radford, VA. Patricia was born on July 7, 1951 in Henry County, Virginia to Edward & Wilma Lankford Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Shirley Jean Gardner.

She is survived by her husband Junior Coy Bowers of the home, daughters & sons-in-law: Tammy & Jay Marlow of Newton, North Carolina; Sheila & Stephen Nester of Austinville, VA; son & daughter-in-law Ronnie & Tina Bowers of Galax; sister Virginia H. Lewis of Martinsville, VA ; brother & sister-in-law: Leroy & Carroll Harris of Collinsville, VA. Eight grandchildren and several nieces & nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Stegall-Pruitt-Harris Family Cemetery in Axton, Virginia with Rev. James Cowley officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
