Parthenia Smith Stoneman age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Saturday January 17, 2026 in the Novant Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Mrs. Stoneman was born on May 19, 1937 in Carroll County, Virginia to Cecil and Irene Edwards Smith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenly Grady Stoneman; infant son James Lee Stoneman and a brother Donnie M. Smith.

She is survived by her cousins Linda Jenkins; Judith Lineberry; Teresa Owens (Dennis); Jean Shaffner (Jeff); G.W. Lineberry (Brenda); Randy Lineberry (Brenda); Jay Jennings (Gail); Herman Rorrer (Joyce); Margie Higgins; Dean H. Rorrer (Zola); Kramer Smith (Dorothy); Tommy Smith (Brenda); Barry Smith; Doug Smith (Debbie); Donna Kennan; special friends Darlene Felts; James Felts and Tammy Edmonds.  Also surviving are her two special kitties Little Yeller and Cupcake.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Woodlawn Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Bolen; Lauren Gunnell-Beck and Pastor Kramer Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Woodlawn Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Woodlawn Methodist Church Building Fund or Woodlawn Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family expresses a special thank you to the Hillsville Health and Rehab Center for the love and care they gave Mrs. Stoneman.
