Pansy Ames Lawson Griffin's Obituary
Pansy Ames Lawson Griffin, 83, of Austinville, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA. Mrs. Griffin was born to Troy Lawson and Elva Burnett Lawson in Carroll County, Virginia on Wednesday, May 15, 1929.
She is survived by her husband Coolidge Griffin of the home; daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Douglas Cooke of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina; Anita and Danny Semones of Dugspur, Virginia; grandson and wife Bryan and Barbara Fields; great grandchildren Gabriel Fields and Alivia Fields; sisters Maxie Vaughn of Navarre, Ohio; Zula Coleman of Hillsville, Virginia, Ina Horton of Fancy Gap, Virginia, several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Monta Vista Cemetery, Galax, Virginia with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. A memorial service will follow in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 2:30 PM. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
