Pamela Jean Skyles Parks, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 in the University of Louisville Medical Center. She was born June 23, 1943 in Kentucky to the late William Sterling Skyles and Alma Spillman Skyles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Parks, Sr., sister Janet Skyles and nephew Bill Skyles.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Charles Hawks of Cana, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law: Ronald and Mary Ellen Parks, Jr. of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; grandsons: Ronald Floyd Parks III, Ethan Eli Parks, and Simeon Shane Parks; brother and special sister-in-law: Chuck and Mary Skyles of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-in-law and husband Wanda and Jack Devine; brother-in-law and wife Roger and Sue Parks; niece Tonya of Galax; nephews & spouse Cory and Christy Skyles and Chuck Skyles, Jr. Also surviving is special friend Shirley Byrd.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Branch Cemetery in Grayson County. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
