Oscar Harrison Beck age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Beck was born on February 18, 1925 in Surry County, North Carolina to Otis and Della Kirkman Beck. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Ella Mae Beck Pruitt; Irene Beck Easter; Belva Beck Semones and Brenda Beck Fisher; brothers William Otis Beck, Claude Augustus Beck and Archie Franklin Beck.

He is survived by his wife Belle Webb Beck of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Carol and Rev. Dale R. Webb of Galax, Virginia; Mary and Rev. Greg D. Carter of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; Donna and Rev. Randy B. Parks of Christiansburg, Virginia; grandson Benjamin Denton Carter; brothers and sisters-in-law Paul and Mabel Beck of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Roscoe and Edith Beck; Ralph and Patricia Beck all of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8 at 7:00 PM in the Cliffview Church of God with Pastor Ron Hill and Pastor D.G. Fox officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church. Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Skyline Memory Gardens, Mt. Airy North Carolina.
