Oritha Lena Poe's Obituary
Oritha Lena Poe age 85 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011 at her home.
Miss Poe was born in Carroll County, Virginia on November 7, 1925 to the late Ralph Talmadge and Flora Mae Jones Poe.
She is survived by a sister-in-law Tessie Poe of Galax, Virginia; nieces Kathy Melton and Sandra Stamper of Galax, Virginia; Virginia Chaney of Danville, Virginia; nephews James Poe of Woodlawn, Virginia; Arthur Poe of Fries, Virginia; Robert Poe and Darrell Poe of Galax, Virginia; Kelly Poe of Laurel Fork, Virginia; several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; several great-great-great- nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in the Jones Family Cemetery at River Hill. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
