Opal Reavis Weatherman's Obituary
Virginia "Opal" Reavis Weatherman,
age 88, Galax, VA died Saturday, July 20, 2013 at her home.
Mrs. Weatherman was born August 25, 1924 to Ed and Zella Higgins Reavis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Weatherman and granddaughter, Marcy Hendrix.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Thelma and C.L. Poe, two sons, Harold Weatherman and Scott Weatherman,all of Galax, VA; grandchildren, Debra & Brent Felts, Dedra & Greg Lineberry, Leigh Ann Lyons, Tim & Geneva Weatherman, Jason Weatherman,
Luke & Brandi Weatherman; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Patton, Galax, VA.
The funeral service will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA with burial to follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM
until time for the funeral service,
Monday. The officiating minister will be the Rev. Sam Blevins.
