Opal Robinson age 92 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on August 1, 1923 to William Hasten and Flossie Shores Lowe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bryan Robinson.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law Zollie and Howard Easter; Phyllis and Kyle Smith; Carol and Breece Roten; one son Larry Dean Robinson all of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren Kyle Dean Smith of Independence, Virginia; Jennifer Farmer; Mike Roten both of Galax, Virginia; Matt Roten of Troutdale, Virginia; three great-grandchildren Brittany Tucker; John Farmer; J.B. Roten; great-great-grandchildren Stephanie Tucker; Jared Spencer and Joshua Tucker; several nieces and nephews; cagegiver Nancy Anderson; special caregiver Marie Moss.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
