Opal Alene Barber Robinson's Obituary
Opal Alene Barber Robinson age 83 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 16, 1928. She was the last of fourteen children born to Chap and Senia Bobbitt Barber. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Leon Robertson.
She is survived by her husband Harold Robinson of Galax, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Linda and Terry Edwards of Graham, North Carolina; sons and daughter-in-law Elwood Dotson of Galax, Virginia; Wayne Dotson of Yadkinville, North Carolina; Randy and Ann Robinson of Galax, Virginia; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Major Terry Edwards and Pastor Garry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Va.. The family will receive friends Friday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Twin County Hospice for the love and care given to Mrs. Robinson.
