Ola Helen Goins, age 70, Galax, VA, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Goins was born Jan. 1, 1944 in Grayson County, VA to Alfonzo & Virginia Brown Coletrain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie E. Goins.
She is survived by daughters, Tracy Owens, Galax, VA, Tera Tucker, Charlotte, NC, Tecia Howard, Charlottesville, VA; sons & daughter-in-law, Terry Tucker, Galax, VA, Terrell & Terri Tucker, Mt. Airy, NC, Adam Jones, Mooresville, NC; sisters Nancy Stockton and Scarlet Scales both of Kernersville, NC; brother Paul Blair of Raleigh, NC; fifteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two special grandchildren, Teariana Tucker and Ola Rayne Tucker; several nieces & nephews, also, survive.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial will follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wed. Oct. 22, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. Officiating ministers will be Pastor Larry Cutler, The Rev. Raymond Brown,Jr., Minister Deiandre Anderson and Pastor Darrell Beamer.
