Lettie Odessa (Desi) Quesenberry age 77 of Roanoke, Virginia passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Desi was born on October 8, 1946 in Carroll County, Virginia to Zelmer and Annie Burnette Lineberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Gregory Lynn Quesenberry; siblings James Lineberry; Zelmer Lineberry, Jr.; Sadie Sizemore; Burlene Lundy; Kemper Lineberry; Collins Lineberry; Jessie Lineberry and Vela Lineberry.

It has been said that there is a special place in Heaven for the mother of two little girls. Mom worked so hard to raise us and made certain that we had everything that we could ever need or want. Our beloved mother went to Heaven on the day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, she was reborn and is no longer suffering.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Jennifer and Cary Bednarek of Roanoke, Virginia; Christie and Keith Soverns of Troutville, Virginia; sisters Pearl Lineberry and Mary Lee Bowers both of Galax, Virginia; special nieces Tricia Adams; Shelby Lineberry and Sandra Hash; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Billy Burnette officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.

She was dearly loved and will be truly missed. Our family takes comfort in knowing that when our time comes, she will be waiting with open arms to welcome us home.

The family would like to thank Fr. Robert C. Keeley for the kindness and compassion in providing care for our mother, especially in her final days. We would also like to thank Dr. Marie Malinchak, mom's long-time personal physician.
