Octavio Hector Carranza age 28 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, June 20,2016 at his home.
Octavio was born in Galax, Virginia on October 20, 1987 to Julia Marcella Shupe and Hector Jose Carranza.
In addition to his mother Julia Shupe of Woodlawn, Virginia and father Hector Jose Carranza of Galax, Virginia, he is survived by his children Kierra Rose Stone and Octavio Ivan Carranza of Woodlawn, Virginia; sisters Gabriella Amanda Carranza; Allison Carranza both of Galax, Virginia; Luica Carranza of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; brothers Omar Carranza of Independence, Virginia; Cesar Carranza of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Ariel Carranza and Hector Carranza both of Galax, Virginia; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Galax City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
