Norma Jean Bullion Melton age 80 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at her home.

Mrs. Melton was born in Galax, Virginia on May 18, 1939 to Thomas and Grace Hodges Bullion. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Dale Melton.

She is survived by her children and spouses Karen and Kenneth Snider of Clemons, North Carolina; Kathy and Terry Perona of Barberton, Ohio; Kim and John Hall of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Tony and Diana Melton; Tom Melton; Randy Melton; Ricky Melton all of Galax, Virginia; Ron Melton of Panama City, Florida; 10 grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Fairlawn Church of Christ with Kent Allender officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Fairlawn Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Drive, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
