Norma Claudine Lowe's Obituary
Norma Claudine Rector Lowe age 97 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday February 8, 2017 in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mrs. Lowe was born on October 15, 1919 in Carroll County, Virginia to Bennett C. and Izora Stoneman Rector. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Quillon Jack Lowe.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Donald Quillon and Wanda Lowe of Galax, Virginia; Gary Lionel and Brenda Lowe of Hickory, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouse Jamey Damon Lowe; Lauren Lindsey and Kale Cheek; great-grandchildren Kyler Preston Cheek and Kenzie Jade Cheek; sister Rita Bunn of Hillsville, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Larry Murphy; Marvin Williams and the Rev. David Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 12502 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612-9411.
