Norma Jean Isom age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at her home.

Mrs. Isom was born in Alleghany County, North Carolina on July 31, 1940 to George Thomas and Sarah Leila Murphy Poole. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson Derrick Montgomery and great-granddaughter Ella Grace Hall.

She is survived by her husband Scott Isom of Galax, Virginia; daughters Debbie Montgomery and Rocks-Anna Isom both of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Beverly Hildwein of Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania; grandchildren and spouses Scott and Sara Hall; Karen and Bryan Lee; Cody Montgomery; Heather Montgomery; Lauren Hildwein; Sarah Hildwein; Megan and Lindsey Pouncy; great-grandchildren Shelbi Weatherman; Aubrey Hall; Eva Lee; Carter Montgomery; Brody Lee; Gab Hall; Ryan Pouncy and Layla Pouncy; brother Bob Poole of Darlington, Maryland; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Saddle Mountain Baptist Church with Ricky Bedwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service at the Saddle Mountain Baptist Church.
