Norma Jean Chambers' Obituary
Norma Jean Chambers, 59, of Galax, Virginia passed away at her home Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Norma Jean was born in Galax, Virginia on November 30, 1953 to Camet Eugene Brown and Lessie Mae Bowers Brown.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Delena and Michael Stamper of Galax, Virginia and Daranette McMillan of Fancy Gap, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law: Linda and Lester Vaught of Galax, Virginia; Betty and Carlie Lowe of Low Gap, North Carolina; Margaret and Johnny Poe of Sparta, North Carolina; brother Camet Eugene Brown, Jr. of Summerfield, North Carolina; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 8:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Carl Chappell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the following: American Cancer Society, 230 Charwood Drive, NE, Abingdon, VA 24210; Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, 322 Winterberry Road, Galax, VA 24333; or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1477 Carrolton Pike, Hillsville, VA 24343.
