Noah Hershel Johnson, also known as N. H. Johnson, age 77, passed away Friday, June 30, 2012 at his residence in Independence. Noah was born July 21, 1934 in Baywood Virginia to Hershel & Leota Snow Johnson. In addition to his parents, his wife Mary Lou Pugh Johnson preceded him in death.

Noah is survived by three sons & daughters-in-law: Dennis & Darlene Johnson of Fries;
Mack & Betty Johnson of Pulaski; and Warren & Joan Johnson of Woodlawn; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Vera & Estel Coleson of Independence and John Bowman of Martinsville; one aunt, one uncle, one dear friend, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Independence, VA at 9:00 AM with Jerry Keegan, MPC, the Chaplain-Mountain Valley Hospice. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
