Nicholas Grey Davis, 29, of Galax VA, tragically passed on October 20, 2023. Nick is survived by his parents Timothy C. and Nancy (Betsy) Burnett Davis, sister Susan G. Davis and her fiancé Joshua C. Johnson, grandmother Ruth Nichols Davis, "adopted" brother Christopher L. Milby, and Godmother Kimberly Roberts Rosenbaum.

Nick was born and raised in Galax Virginia, where he graduated from Galax High School in 2013 with a state championship ring for Baseball. Nick was an avid outdoorsman and achieved the prestigious title of Eagle Scout. He was one of the few Scouts from this area to attend both the 100th National Scout Jamboree at Fort A.P. Hill and the International Scout Jamboree in Sweden. Nick worked as a K-9 Officer at River North Correctional Center. He was very active in his community and volunteered as a coach of 8th grade and JV Galax Maroon Tide Baseball teams over the last 5 years. Nick had 2 rescue dogs, Maverick and Goose, that he loved deeply. Some of Nick's many hobbies were riding his motorcycle, bowling, riding ATVs, working on his vehicles but mostly he enjoyed making others laugh. Nick received a degree from YouTube University for any endeavors that he did not know. His language of choice was sarcasm, movie quotes and song lyrics. Nick was a fierce and loyal friend and loved his family beyond measure. He was full of life and enjoyed a good laugh. Nick never met anyone with whom he couldn't carry on a conversation.

A memorial service will be held Saturday December 16, 2023 at Christ Chapel with Pastor Dave White and Todd Shaw officiating. The River North Correctional Center Honor Guard will be honoring Nick during the service. Guests are asked to stay after the service for refreshments with the Davis Family.
