Nevia Andrew Newman's Obituary
Nevia Andrew Newman age 88 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Newman was born on September 24, 1921 in Carroll County, Virginia to Curren & Elizabeth Edwards Newman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alma Frances Goad Newman; daughter Janie Richardson; son Wade Newman and son-in-law Don Spears.
He is survived by his daughters & sons-in-law Kay & Melvin Overstreet of Hillsville, Va.; Jessie & Elwood Harmon; Dina Jackson & Allen Pinnix all of Galax, Va.; Barbara Spears of Ennice, N.C.; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from one until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
