Nelson Clifford Patton age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday October 6, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Patton was born in Grayson County, Virginia on January 20, 1931 to Willie and Ella Ethel Frost Patton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Craig Patton.

He is survived by his wife Shirley E. Patton of Galax, Virginia;  sons and daughter-in-law Clifford Nelson and Cecelia Patton of Galax, Virginia; Kenneth R. Patton of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren  Amelia Elizabeth Patton; Michael A.  Patton ( Jessica Hagy);   Matthew S.Patton and William J. Patton; great-grandson Andrew Patton; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 3:00 PM in the McKenzie Cemetery with Gale Rippey officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
