Nelson Jefferson Hanks' Obituary
Nelson Jefferson Hanks age 66 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Nelson was born in Carroll County, Virginia on March 23, 1952 to Ernest and Ovelia Lineberry Hanks.
He proudly served his country in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Hanks of Galax, Virginia; sons Mike Hanks of Hillsville, Virginia; Cody Hanks of Galax, Virginia; step-children Keshia Newman of Dugspur, Virginia; Patrick Wyatt of Galax, Virginia; sister Brenda Burnette of Cana, Virginia; three step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Pickett Cemetery with Glenn Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
