Nellie Faye Jefferson age 70 of Fries, Virginia passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Jefferson was born on January 24, 1942 in Grayson County, Virginia to Burley and Ollie Mae Johnson Goad.
She is survived by her husband Edward Jefferson of Fries, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Opal and Dennis Funk of Greensboro, North Carolina; Sheila and Shon Carico of Woodlawn, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Keith Edward Jefferson of San Francisco, California; James Michael and Crystal Jefferson of Fries, Virginia; sisters Anna Sutphin; Pat Dixon and Brenda Johnson; brother Reuben Johnson, Jr. all of Hillsville, Virginia; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Mike Jefferson and Pastor Roger Johnson officiating. Burial will be on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the funeral home.
