Nellie Stella Goodson's Obituary
Nellie Stella Ball Goodson age 91 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Goodson was born in Grayson County, Virginia on August 16, 1924 to Conley and Eliza Sexton Ball. In addition to his parents she was preceded in death by her husband Brady Clayton Goodson and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Joan and Jim Worrell of Rutherford College, North Carolina; Susan and Sam Jennings of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Belinda Lundy, Michelle Holmes; Becky Oxentine; Eric Lingerfelt; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother Robert Ball of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ebenezer Cemetery with Pastor Ernie Smith officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
