Naomi Alene Vaughan's Obituary
Naomi Alene Vaughan, 63, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. Naomi was born March 11, 1946 in Carroll County, Virginia to Arnold Curtis Tate and Jeanette Willard Tate. Mrs. Vaughan was preceded in death by her husbands Maynard Crotts and Blair Vaughan.
She is survived by five daughters: Robin Ward, Kathy Burchett, Tina Lineberry, Nicky Vaughan all of Fries, Brenda Vaughan of Woodlawn; one son David Crotts, Fries; four sisters: Mary Waller, Fries, Emily Monahan, Wytheville; Betty Mae Belyah and Bonnie Sue Slate both of North Carolina; five brothers: Edd Tate, Larry Dale Tate both of Fries; Obie Tate of High Point, North Carolina; Curt Tate and Donald Tate both of North Carolina. Fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Several nieces & nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 until 9 PM at the Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Monday July 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Cana, VA with the Rev. Emmett Crotts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
