Nancy Kegley Smoot's Obituary
Nancy Lou Kegley Smoot, 71, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Pineville Rehab & Living Center, Pineville, North Carolina. Nancy was born January 3, 1943 in Carroll County, Virginia to Isaac Talmadge & Clara Kyle Kegley.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and John Tracy of Ennice, North Carolina; son Jeffrey Scott Smoot of Charlotte, North Carolina; two grandchildren: Travis Tracy and Brooke Tracy of Ennice, North Carolina; two sisters Mary Jane Watts of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Jo Ellen Phipps of Asheville, North Carolina; sister-in-law Christine Kegley Crockett of Woodlawn, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Richard Mullan officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Woodlawn, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alleghany County Rescue Squad, P O Box 351, Sparta, North Carolina 28675 or Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte, NC 28204
