Nancy Carolyn Shaw age 79 of Independence, Virginia passed away Friday, March 8, 2024 in the Waddell Health and Rehab Center.

Nancy was born in Grayson County, Virginia on April 4, 1944 to Edgar and Evelyn Smith Farmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bryan Elbanks Shaw; daughter Felisa Anders and brother Robert Farmer.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Regina Shaw of Independence, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Sandy and Rodney Coleman of Fries, Virginia; two grandchildren Bryan Shaw (Megan) of Claremont, North Carolina; Noah Shaw of Huntersville, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren Ryker Shaw and Baylee Shaw of Claremont North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16th from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home  Inurnment will be private for the family in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
