Nancy Lynn McGrady, age 47 of Sparta, NC passed away December 20,2016 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC after fighting a valiant and recurring battle with cancer and it's complications.

She is survived by a special friend, Michael Burchette of the home and two sons and a daughter in law, all of Ennice, NC. Eric "Shane" Fender and his wife Brooke Cooper Fender and Perry Jackson Fender and his girlfriend Nicole Johnson of North Wilkesboro, NC. One brother, Frank "Thomas" McGrady and wife Judy of Piney Creek, NC and Aunts and Uncles, Helen & Harold Reedy of Piney Creek, NC and Glen & Jean Girtman of Chapel Hill, NC and her special friend and caregiver Teresa Delawder of Sparta, NC; numerous cousins and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Frank and Margaret Perry McGrady; Maternal Grandparents, Guy and Edna Warden Perry and Paternal Grandparents, Squire and Eula Baker McGrady; three uncles Guy Thomas "Tom" Perry Jr., Albean Barkley Perry and Arthur David Perry and numerous cousins and friends.

Nancy expressed her deep rooted artistic side in various special ways, she loved to crochet and enjoyed making things for other people to enjoy. She also completed some amazing coloring projects in the last few years. One of her greatest joys was of course her canine companion, Demon, who gave her respite from her day to day trials
during her fight.

Nancy's love of people was never questioned. She always had a kind word and ever present smile for everyone, regardless. Her kindness was contagious to those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

In lieu of flowers, donations for incurred funeral expenses may be made to the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel at 201 West Center Street, Galax, VA 24333 or to the family at 709 Lazy Branch Road, Ennice, NC 28623.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
