Nancy "Wanda" Goad age 77 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 in the Blue Ridge-Golden Living Center.
Mrs. Goad was born in Grayson County, Virginia on December 13, 1936 to Herald Galyen, Sr. and Eula Smith Galyen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Goad.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Charlene and Ralph Arnold; Alvalene and Max Lineberry; Genene and Rick Stuart all of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren and spouse Kevin and Kelly Lineberry; Brianna Sawyers; Levi Sawyers; step-grandchild Brandon Arnold; great-grandchildren Mathew Lineberry and Makaley Lineberry; brother and sister-in-law Junior and Mary Galyen of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Pete Hawks and Elder Doug Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Union Baptist Church Cemetery at Baywood. The family will receive friends Monday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
