Nadene Combs Jennings age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Jennings was born on October 19, 1921 in Pulaski, Va. to Charlie F. & Ruth Donithan Combs.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Theopolis Haywood Jennings.

She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Sandra & Ted Murray of Daleville, Va.; Sara & Charlie Sizemore of Galax, Va.; son Rocky Jennings of Galax, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Wilda & Gene Fayne of Galax, Va.; nine grandchildren Heather Saunders; Carrie Schweitzer; Patrick Murray; Scott Murray; Brandi Clark; Lori Overby; Topper Jennings; Josh Sizemore & Caleb Sizemore; two great-grandchildren Jeanna Saunders & Trey Saunders; several nieces & nephews.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Snow Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior the funeral service at the church. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Snow Hill Baptist Church.
