Myrtle Marie McKnight Moore age 102 of Wytheville, Virginia and formerly of Galax, Va. passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 in Carrington Place in Wytheville, Va..

Mrs. Moore was born on January 29, 1907 in Grayson County, Virgina to John Andrew & Mittie Lee Hale McKnight. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ross O'dell Moore.

She is survived by her sisters Agnes Bartlett of Fries, Va. & Gladys Catron of Galax, Va.; several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Walt Simmerman officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Galax, Va..
