Myrtle L. Marsh, age 92, Fries, VA, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 in the Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center, Independence, VA.

Mrs. Marsh was born in Carroll County, VA, Aug. 13, 1919 to James William and Arilla Robertson Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Marsh and a son, Hubert Gene Marsh.

Surviving are the following: children, Linda Moore, Fries, VA, Ruby & Frank Davis, Galax, VA, Jerry & Judy Haynes, Dublin, VA; grandchildren, Tony & Jean Moore, Galax, VA, Christie Carr, Fries, VA, Danny Davis, Galax, VA, Melinda & Tim Moore, Fries, VA, Jason & Kristen Davis, Palmyra, VA; great-grandchildren, Jared Moore, Jesse Davis, Jayson Carr, Brittney Davis, Christopher Davis, Andrew Jones, Alex Davis, Devon Davis, Hunter Moore, Kaylee Moore, Abbie Moore, Emory Davis, Lauren Davis, William Davis; great-great-grandchildren, Preston & Brooklyn Davis; several nieces & nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA at 8:00 PM. Interment will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until time for the funeral service on Tuesday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, VA. Officiating ministers will be Pastor Matt Linkous and Pastor Gary Vaught.
