Myrtle Emma Goodnough's Obituary
Myrtle Emma Goodnough age 96 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Goodnough was born in Grayson
County, Virginia on April 15, 1916 to Joseph and Pearlie Hale Bedwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Goodnough and son Larry Goodnough.
She is survived by her daughter Rita Hurt Lester; step-daughter Ruby Crouse; sister-in-law Eunice Fortner all of Galax, Virginia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; very special caregiver Megan McFarland.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 3,2012 at 2:00 PM in the Holy Cross Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Butch Holder officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
